Sunday Morning with RJ and Abby!

Well, despite the fact that the the whole family is fighting colds, we decided to spend some time outside today. It is beautiful out! RJ is scared of snow (maybe he was caught in an avalanche in a previous life) so he didn't want to try out the new sled he got from Memere and Grampy for Christmas. He did have fun playing in his playhouse and going down his slide. Abby was having a blast on the sled until Joe tipped her over. When we came in, RJ and I made cupcakes. He LOVES to help cook (and cake is something even he will eat :) )

"What Dad?" Joe was talking to RJ when I took this picture.

Our Little Snowbunny in Harrison's old snowsuit!
Ryan loves to watch us crack eggs. He also loves his new "Elmo football Jammies" from grandma and papa.

SUPER CUTE!!

Ryan enjoyed some cake before nap!

Our "New" Kitchen!

I looked through all my pictures for a good "before" picture, and this is the best I could do. I am thrilled with how it looks now!

BEFORE

AFTER :)!
(We still need a new kitchen table, but we like the size and shape of this Griswold then MacDougall hand-me-down)

WDW 2009!!!

So, during the Russell visit we started talking about making healthier choices in 2008. I was saying that I can't believe I haven't lost my Abby weight yet and she is over a year old. The Russells always inspire Joe to make deals, wagers, etc. I said, "What can I use as an incentive to lose my baby weight?" Joe (without any prompting or hints) said, "I will take you and the kids to Disney World during Feb. vacation 2009." So, the deal begins...we still have to work out the specific details, but I am ready to go. To make the whole thing even better, the Russells have agreed to meet us there. HIP HIP HOOOOORAAAYYY!!!!!

Russell Visit!

The Russells were east visiting for Christmas and they made the trip up to our house for an overnight visit. Ryan and Abby had a BLAST having friends to play with. I don't think RJ expected them to still be here when he woke up in the morning, but they played and played and played. During the visit, I fell in love with their Wii. We played Dance Revolution and Bowling! It was very addictive.
Abby was cute with baby Kate. They are going to be best buds as they grow up.

We put the kids to bed and broke out the video games. Here, the husbands and wives compete in Dance Revolution.

Joe was actually better than me at the dancing game...I was very disappointed. Look at his moves in this picture. TOO Funny.

RJ loved having kids around to play with!

Gary and Shannon bought an RV to make the trips across country. RJ LOVED IT! Aren't they soooo cute?

WHAT? Chris Farley?!

I sat down to watch an old episode of Saturday Night Live this weekend. I thought...wow, steve martin, mike myers, adam sandler, this should be funny. All my fun was ruined in the first minute of the opening skit. I sat there HORRIFIED as I was struck with the realization that my little girl LOOKS LIKE CHRIS FARLEY! There are a lot of pretty men out there that I would be okay with Abby looking like, but Chris Farley. Oh no...poor thing!

Merry Christmas!

Well, we had a very fun Christmas morning!! Abby slept with me last night because she hasn't been feeling well and wakes up several times at night. Joe got Abby duty the night before. For a little kid, she sure is a bed hog!

RJ made me coffee before we played with presents.

Abby and Ryan LOVED the TMX Elmo Santa left for them!

Maddie and Shelby gave RJ this fishing game. It is a blast to play. Both kids get the concept, and it is still fun for Joe and me!

It appears Abby loves cash registers as much as her mother. It is still a dream of mine to someday work where I run a cash register. As a child, my goal in life was to work at Bradlee's. They went out of business and took my dream with them!!! :(

Why do we buy toys, when a bag of 2 dollar balloons entertains them for hours?

It's All Fun and Games.....

....until Joe gets stuck at the end of the driveway!! And yes Macho Man was cruising around town in my minivan. Actually, he went to get the kids (Abby, Harrison and Carter) from Claire's house and then couldn't get back in the driveway. He was not happy. OOOPS!

Whose woods these are I think I know!

His house is in the village, though!
Looking out my windows on a snowy day!

Good News/Bad News

Well, it is another snowy day in New Hampshire....our second snow day of the year! Anyway, the good news is that we got our windows yesterday. I am really pleased with them...although paying for them isn't too pleasant :)! Here are some pics!!

Now for the bad news....RJ has conjunctivitis. AGH! We can't seem to stay healthy. The doctor says it is viral conjunctivitis which means antibiotics do not help it, and it is extremely contagious. OH great! Can't wait until we all get it....I wonder if Joe gets conjunctivitis or if he is immune to it like the stomach flu! Hehe. Poor Rj's eye is so bad!

Rj's Ready for the Snow!

He is wearing his snowflake PJ's! He was not very cooperative with the picture taking (as you can see). He would smile and run away.

WHAT?!

Andy Pettite was named in Mitchell's report about steriods. :( If anyone hears that Kathie Lee or Barry Manilow have been juicing up, spare me the agony by not telling me.

Our Little Football Man!

Ryan's new favorite activity is playing football....Joe LOVES it, too. Harrison and Carter have this football get-up and Ryan loves it when he goes to their house. I decided to get one for home, too. I don't know what the cell phone is all about....probably calling his agent!

"Hey Don (as inYee)-tell Tom (as in Brady) to watch out...there is a new man in town.
Also, do you think Gisele could be negotiated in my contract? "
He has a goofy expression because he is talking to me as I take pictures. I love this little face!

The outfit even comes with shoulder pads and a helmet.

Thank Goodness for Auntie!

So, since Abby's hair started growing, it has been CRAZY!!!! I had no idea why...I thought she just had the crappy Auntie Kendra/Papa hair (very fine). One day this week Kendra FINALLY tells me that she needs conditioner. I started conditioning her hair and it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo much better! Here are some pics from one morning this week!

Her mouth is stuffed full of FRUIT LOOPS! Surprise surprise

Okay, so my camera has a "red eye" function which seems like it should be a great idea. It doesn't work with Abby. Every time I try to use it, she blinks. Well I guess it does work because her eyes aren't red if they are shut/half shut.
Poor Abby is sooo her mother/grandmother/great-grandmother!
(I am done denying the resemblance...I've given up hope of being anything but a mini-Glo)

Cute Santa!

We got out the santa hat that Ryan wore in his first Christmas card picture. He loved it. He looks so thin in these pictures; I think both kids lost weight this week.

Update: The flu has hit Ryan, Abby and me. ICK! Joe has not gotten it....maybe there is something to his poison ivy analogy. We are all doing better this evening though!
