Ryan and Abby's First Play!!

Today my mom took the kids and me to see Snow White at the Palace Theater. For any of you that have kids and are looking for something to do, we had a fantastic time. They have these plays for kids on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the summer. The play is about 45 minutes long and held the kids attention. RJ got a bit antsy in the middle, but Abby LOVED it! Then, we went to McDonalds for lunch. Thanks Grandma!!

Mystic Connecticut!

We had a great time in Mystic! It was a nice mini-vacation and a little trial run for our big trip to Sesame Place. We went to the aquarium Saturday and Sunday (that is why the kids have different clothes on in different pictures). Saturday was HOT and crowded, but Sunday was much better. We also took the kids to a elementary school playground on Sunday morning....the kids are always excited about playing at a new park!

Ryan and Joe are laughing at the penguins. Ryan LOVED the penguins (he loves the movie Happy Feet); we spent awhile watching them. Abby called them chickens and wanted to keep her distance.
Again, whenever an animal made a noise Abby was scared and cried. She did not like the Sea Lions noises at all.

Ryan was very excited to see a real Nemo and Dorey!
Abby did try to touch a sting ray!
Ryan liked to play in the areas that he could touch the creatures. He is pointing at a crab that he just touched. He also loves the Sting Ray pool.
Ryan says that he is fixing a sail when he climbs up ladders like this...it must be a game they play at Claires.
Ryan and Abby absolutely LOVE hotels (ok, maybe I do too...I know my mother does, too). They had so much fun sleeping in a new place. Here they are watching Bob the Builder before bedtime. CUTE CUTE CUTE

A Few More Cute Pictures from today!

SORRY...I COULDN'T RESIST!

Last July at Great Island Common!

I can't believe how much they have each grown in the past year.

Fun Friday 2: Great Island COmmon

For our second fun Friday, Kendra and I took the kids to Great Island Common in New Castle. This place is fantastic. We went last year, too but the kids had an absolute blast today. If you are looking for a small, family friendly beach, this is the place to go. There is a little beach area (although there are rocks and seaweed) and a nice playground.

Playing at the park!

The kids play in the sand. They were into digging trenches and making lakes
Carter comes with water to fill in the lake.

Harrison and Carter didn't mind the cold water. Kendra also brought Ryan out in the ocean. He told Joe that he went into a "Big one pool."

I love this little face!
Is there anything better than watching your child have so much fun doing such a simple thing? Ryan loved the beach! I loved watching him play!

Backyard Fun!

We had a fun morning playing in the backyard. This is the first time we stayed home all day (no park visit). By the afternoon, they were a bit stir crazy, but it was too hot to do anything anyway. Abby refused to go outside. RJ has a huge bug bite on his chest in these pictures...in case you are wondering what that red spot is.

Ryan loved his new sprinkler
Before the water park last week, he refused to play in spraying water. Now he loves it.
Abby is like her mama and does not like to get wet. She decided to play in tiny tot land.
After sprinkler time, Ryan played monkey and hung from our tree. He even made monkey sounds
Meanwhile, Abby watches her monkey brother and doesn't know what to think.
He had a ball hanging from the tree.
Then, it was bubble time. The Davis family bought us this bubble grill for RJ's birthday. Both kids LOVE it. We play with it every day! Great gift Auntie Nicki!
Abby was so mad that we wouldn't join her on the hammock.

When she finally decides to join us, she eats bubbles.

She was not very impressed with the taste! (If you blow these pictures up, you can see that she covered her arms in bubble solution...she's an odd duck)

Fun Friday 1: Davis Famland

On Friday we had our first fun Friday with the Vedrani's! Grandma joined us, too! I'm sorry about all the pictures....I couldn't decide which ones to include and which ones to leave out. It was a great day!!
I remember last year Ryan was afraid of goats. He had a great time feeding them this year!
Abby, on the other hand, did not care for the goats! They were okay to look at, but she did not like it if they made sounds. Abby was attached to Grandma all day. Abby wanted Grandma to protect her :)
The Gang on the bridge!
Besides feeding the animals, Ryan had a blast combing them. I literally had to drag him away from them. He could have stayed there all day.
Abby had enough of the animals and the noises they make. She decided to rest!

Abby was okay with the fake cow....it didn't make sounds!

Abby really enjoyed the hayride. When we got home she must have told Joe at least 10 times that she went on a hayride.

Rj was a little unsure at first, but he had fun, too!

The kids had fun at the water park! The weather was perfect!

What can I say...He's Joe's son!

We Love Summer!

We have had a very busy (AND FUN) week...and it's not over yet. We have gone to storytime at the library, audobon society, discovery stop, and livingston park. Here are a sampling of some of the pictures. Tomorrow we are headed to Davis Farmland with Auntie, Harrison, Carter and Grandma! Next weekend we are going to Mystic, Connecticut for a few days. FUN! FUN! FUN! Parker, Sophia, Ryan and Abby look at the turtles at the Audobon society. They loved watching the turtles swim.
We went for a mini nature walk after looking at the creatures (they had turtles, snakes, frogs, roaches, and an owl). It was very hot, but we had a great time.
I just love this picture. I love Ryan's arm around Parker's neck, and I love the face Parker is making! Adorable! I just looked at Amy's blog and she has this picture, too. That is what Ryan is looking at :)
Abby crawling through the tunnel at Livingston Park.

Ryan was very excited to play at the "new green park"

Down the Slide!

Ryan rides the horsie!

Here is another picture I love. There is a pond at the park and the kids had a blast finding rocks to throw in!
