Look How Much We Have Changed!!

I looked through my saved pictures to find these shots of past Easters!
Ryan's First Easter 04/06

I Cant believe how much they have grown since last year.

This is Harrison in 2001!

Happy Easter!

I literally took 97 pictures of our Easter Egg hunt this morning...here are my favorites! Ryan and Abby both LOVED looking for eggs! Ryan kept yelling, "thanks Easter Bunny." Very Sweet! I know I am bias, but don't they look absolutely adorable in their Easter clothes??!!

The Easter Bunny brought Ryan Hungry Hungry Hippos! As you can see by his face, he loves playing it!!!

Whatever, Mom!

Sunday Morning

Here are some pictures from Sunday morning while Joe slept in.

One very sweet moment from Sunday morning: Ryan and I were snuggling on the couch. Abby came over to us and Ryan says to her, "You want to snuggle with mommy and Ryan?" Abby says, "Ya" Ryan says, "You want me to carry you?" Abby says, "ya" Ryan hugs her and tries to lift her on the couch with us. Finally he looks at me and says, "I can't lift her." Hehe...they weigh about the same (she may even outweigh him now) so it was not surprised. I just love when they have these little "conversations."

In this picture, Ryan is running to me with the gloworm telling me Abby broke it. You can see that she doesn't care that Ryan is tattling on her. I love the "what?" hand. Abby has on Rj's hand-m-down jammies and she put the hat on herself.

This morning when I got my coffee, the kids wanted their own mugs (theirs are filled with water). Abby always tries to drink my coffee and one of her clearest words is coffee. I think I am setting a bad example with all the coffee I drink. OOPS! By the way, Ryan insisted on The View mug!

FUN SATURDAY!!!

We had a great Saturday!! First, we went to the Easter Bunny Breakfast here in town. Ryan LOVES pancakes so he was psyched! Also, he admired the bunny from afar, but did not want to sit on his lap! We did get a picture of Abby and Carter sitting with the Easter Bunny, but I have to wait until Kendra emails it to me....I didn't bring my camera. When we left Ryan said, "I love the Easter Bunny!" I told him wait until next week when the Easter Bunny brings him goodies. After that we went to our town library. They just finished renovating a beautiful new children's room.

Then on Saturday afternoon we went to a St. Patricks day party at the Currens. I'm sure Karen will post pics on her blog, so you can check out the fun we had. The food was soooooo yummy! We had a great time!!!!

Playdate with the Berubes!

The Berubes have come over for a couple of playdates in the past few weeks. The kids love having friends to play with. When Abby and Sophie saw each other at the Easter Bunny Breakfast, they pointed at each other and then hugged. It was very sweet! Amy wanted me to mention that Auntie Nicki did the kids hair the day these pictures were taken. Parker does not usually walk around with a Mohawk :)

Ok, I know the following picture is blurry, but I am a bit concerned that RJ is already trying to undress the girls!

All four playing together! Again, notice how close Ryan is to Sophia.

Here's a few pictures of the boys. CUTE CUTE CUTE!

Weekend & Papa's 60th!

Well, I just realized I did not take any pictures of my dad's 60th birthday....bummer. Sorry Dad! To celebrate his birthday we went to Valentino's Restaurant. I was "sweating" it because dinner with a 2.5 year old and a 1 year old can be very challenging. I was relieved that they were fantastic. Harrison was a HUGE help keeping Ryan entertained with drawing and making letters...THANK YOU HARRISON!! Joe even behaved himself. Then we came back to our house for some bday pie because I was sure the kids would fall asleep on the way back from the restaurant....they did not, and they had fun playing with their cousins! By the way, the only person in our house that napped yesterday afternoon was me :)!

Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns

This past week I finished reading A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. I cannot say enough about this book. I sobbed for about an hour after reading the last page.....it makes the reader look at what he thinks is "disappointing" or "complicated" about his life and compare it to characters whose lives are constantly impacted by war, fear, hunger, etc. Even though it is a work of fiction, it is remarkably realistic and believable. I told Joe (through my sobs and his eye rolls) that I don't think I will ever be the same after finishing that story. It made me look at my life and truly appreciate all that I have.

Meanwhile, I started reading "Tales of a Drama
Queen" because I needed a "light" read. Hehe!!
