Davis Farmland

On Friday Kendra, Carter, Harrison, Ryan, Abby, and I went to Davis Farmland in Sterling, MA. It is such a fun place to go with kids. There are so many different sections with a lot of different things to do. They have an animal area where you can pet and feed the animals, a playground area with several playsets, they have an area with a bunch of little playhouses, and a small water area that they call a "zero depth spray ground." Anyway, I am not doing it justice with my description, but it really is a great place. We all had such a good time, but we were also all exhausted by all the fun in the sun! In this picture, RJ stares down a goat!

Carter, Auntie, Abby and Harrison enjoy the hayride!

Ryan "bocks" at the chicken!

Abby watches as Kendra feed the goat.

Carter & Mom Celebrated Birthday!

Carter and Mom share a birthday, June 29th! Carter turned 5, and I'll just say Mom is much older than that! Here they are singing Happy Birthday to each other. Precious!

Abby and Ryan Playing and Laughing!

I never get tired of moments like this! I love watching them play together! Again, I have no idea why this is underlined!

Last Weekend!

WOW! It has been a long time since I posted anything. I can't believe my mother and my sister haven't been harassing me about it! We had a great weekend this past weekend. On Saturday, we went to Parker's Maple Barn in Mason, NH for breakfast. Then, we stopped at Peterborough Basket where I got a star-lined basket. Next, we stopped at The Friendly Farm, which is a petting zoo, and, finally, we went to see Joe's sister Janna in Walpole, NH. The kids had a great day! Ryan loves getting out and doing things, and we had a very nice visit, dinner and ice cream with Auntie Janna. Ryan adores Janna's boyfriend, John David. Ryan doesn't realize he is only 2. HE thinks he is about 15 years older than he is. On Sunday, we went to Rock N Ribfest. Ryan had a blast in the bounce house. Joe had to finally go in and fish him out because he was not going to get out on his own. (We are going to his friend Marissa's birthday party this weekend and rumor has it there will be a bounce house there. He is going to love it, especially since his cousins will be there to help him get extra bounce.)` Then, we had cake and ice cream at Kendra's house for her 35th birthday! At the "party" Abby actually started to move like she was crawling. YEAH!

Abby has a new friend!

Ryan and Joe feed the goats!

My new basket! Yes, Ryan and I did say, "Daddy said yes!"

Abby was scared by all of us "mooing" in the car. Of course, Ryan loved it and mooed all the way home.

Playing in the Pool!

Ryan had a blast this afternoon in the pool with his cousins, "guncle" (his way of saying uncle Derrick), and his daddy. They played in the water for almost an hour and a half.

Abby took her first dip in the pool. She didn't really like it so she decided to lounge on the deck and read a magazine with her auntie and me.

Ryan takes his boat out of the water because his lips are blue and he is shivering!

10 minutes after his cousins left, Ryan was sound asleep in my bed. All that fun in the sun tired him out.

Happy Father's Day, Cinderella!

Joe is not going to think this is funny! :)

HOORAY FOR HARRISON!

Harrison had his last baseball game today! He ended the season with more home runs than any other kid who plays little league in Litchfield (it goes up to age 12). He had 3 home runs (including one grand slam) in today's game which brought his final total to 11 for the season! YEAH HARRISON!

I love this picture because it looks like Harrison is "tipping his cap." I actually just snapped the picture as he was putting his hat on.

Harrison cheers on his other teammates!

Abby sits on the edge of her seat waiting to see if Harrison hits another home run (okay, it was really the edge of Grandma's lap!)

Kendra, Derrick and both sets of grandparents cheer for Harrison!

Abby eats chips!

Abby steals one of Ryan's chips....

Abby eats one of Ryan's chips....

Abby pulls the "dumb act" when I take the chip away! (I guess she doesn't realize the evidence is all over her face!)

Ryan and Carter

Ryan ADORES his cousin Carter. I think he sees him more as a big brother than a cousin! Here they are playing at Harrison's baseball game and also playing the piano together at our house. Aren't they cute? (By the way, I have no idea why this is all underlined.)

Look at the hand on the hip!

Young Artist!

Ryan and I did our first painting together. I made the star, and he did the rest. We both had a great time doing it. I may have been a little over enthusiastic, however, because now he points at it and says, "painting...NICE." He is very proud (as am I).

Hey, When did Jim McMahon come for a visit?

Come to think of it..Rj would probably LOVE the Super Bowl Shuffle. He could learn all the moves (like I tried to do in 1985). Mom, do you still have the video? I don't think it could ever replace Justin Timberlake though.

Abby Scoots!

Well, it's not gong to be long before Abby is officially "on the move," and Joe and I will be forced into the chasing stage of parenting. When I went into the shower, I put her sitting with the pillow (at the bottom of the picture) just behind her. When I came out, she had scooted across the room and only stopped because she ran into the wall.

Just when I thought the whole flower photo shoot was the sweetest moment ever, we had tonight's bedtime! These pictures do not even come close to capturing how precious the whole thing was. Abby and Ryan played together, giggled, and giggled some more. Ryan initiated the whole thing, but Abby was thrilled to join in. I can't even begin to describe the feelings Joe and I get as we watch them begin to really interact with each other. I do not regret any part of having them so close together. I can see on their faces that they truly love each other more and more every day (although Ryan does try to hide it sometimes). OK, OK enough with this mushy stuff! :)

Abby Gets into RJ's Fishy Crackers!

Abby gets into EVERYTHING and she isn't even mobile yet. She is going to force us to take "baby proofing" to a whole new level!

Does it get any sweeter than this?

Just when I thought it couldn't get any cuter than the two kids posing in the grass together, Ryan gives Abby flowers!

These pictures were taken after spending 8 hours in the car together. Aren't they cute? Mom, Joe wanted me to make sure I told you that it was thundering out when I took these pictures! I couldn't ruin the sweet moment just because of a little thunder and lightning!

Thanks Auntie, Uncle, Harrison & Carter!

Ryan is very lucky to have 2 older cousins that give him all their hand-me-down toys!

Ryan's Favorite Birthday Present!

A FISH FROM PAPA'S POND! HE LOVES IT!

Ryan's Birthday Party!

Cake Time with Ryan & his Daddy!

Sophia, Abby and Jaclyn playing with pinwheels! (Story behind the pinwheels: I wanted to throw them out because they were cheap! Joe said, "If you buy it, you use it!" The kids loved them. He was right and I was wrong!)
