The Joy of 8th Graders!

The "theme" of Abby's first birthday is "Our Little Pumpkin is Turning ONE!" I made several copies of this picture because I included it in her party invitation. I had the copies on my desk at school and noticed one circulating around the classroom. I went to retrieve it and I overheard my student say, "Wow, this little girl has huge pumpkins!" The kid almost died when he realized I was right behind him. I then explained to him that he was talking about my daughter. The class thought it was hysterical, and the kid was mortified! Hehe! Just an average day in middle school!

Halloween Dress Rehearsal!

Well, both kids are going to be chickens this year. RJ was a chicken last year and the costume fit Abby, so we decided she was just going to wear it this year. (Yes, Abby at 11 months is the same size that RJ was at 18 months) We brought Ryan to Old Navy and he picked out a lion costume. Well, once he saw Abby in HIS chicken suit, he decided he didn't want anything to do with the lion costume. Now, they are both chickens...I actually think it is super cute!! They both put their costumes on and march around saying, "Bock, bock, bock!"

Poor Abby has a cold that she just can't seem to get rid of. She did not feel well today. Kendra lucked out today not having to deal with my little crabapple all day. Good thing she's cute!

PLAY-DOH!

I stayed home with the kids today, and we did something I swore I would never allow...PLAY-DOH!! I used to go on and on to my friends Cindy and Karen that my kids would never have play-doh. I gave in today and bought a "set." Ryan and I had fun playing with it after his nap (that is why he still has his binky in his mouth...he just got up), but Abby thought play-doh was just a delicious new snack that I cooked up for her. Joe did not approve of Abby eating it (I told him all kids eat play-doh at some point) and he did not approve of Ryan and me mixing the colors. We told him to go back to work and leave us to our fun :)! Here are some pics!

YUMMY!

October Afternoons!

I can't believe it is the end of October, and we are playing outside with shorts and t-shirts. Abby was not too happy with the photo shoot.

RJ spots a plane!

Abby rides the motorcycle. Look at the look on her face!

RJ plays with his sand and water table!

Playing at the Park!

These pictures are from a couple of weeks ago when we went to the park on a Sunday afternoon with the Parker, Sophia and Maddie! Ryan and Abby love to see their friends. A few of my students were there using inappropriate language.. 3 of them are named RYAN! Oh well, that's the joy of living in the town I teach in. Eventually, they went away!

As much fun as Rj has going down the slide...he is also a daredevil and tries to climb up it.
Ryan tries everything at the park. He is not scared of anything.
Abby is just hanging out! Cute!

Auntie Nicki with Parker, Sophia and Maddie. Parker's sunglasses crack me up!

Auntie Amy and Abby! Cute, Cute Cute!

More Stolen Pics!

One morning this week, I took pics of Abby and me. I know they are not very pretty (fake smile and all), but what I noticed are my terrible "crow's feet"! WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?

Litchfield's Firetruck Parade

On Friday evening the Guerrettes and Vedranis went to Grandma and Papa's house to watch the firetruck parade. Firetrucks from all different towns parade through town with their lights and sirens on. This year, they even threw little bags of candy to the kids.

Before the parade, Ryan helps Grandma feed the fish, while Abby and Auntie look on.

Joe is very excited for the parade to begin....

...but not as excited as Derrick and Me! (I know it is not an attractive pic of me)

Abby eats leaves...what a surprise!

Cousins

The whole gang watches the start of the parade! Doesn't Joe look thrilled?

Ryan waves to the passing firetrucks.

Abby didn't really like the noise! OOPS!

Abby and Parker Sitting in a Tree.. KISSING!

I stole these pictures right off Amy's blog. Too cute! I think Abby has a prom date!! Look at how she is looking at him! Amy kept commenting on how she kept opening her mouth. I am going to have to have a talk with her. By the end, the whole gang joined in! So sweet! I love to watch them play.

Abby's Growing Up: Haircut, Walking, and Boyfriends!

Abby got her first "real" haircut today....Sorry Kendra, your haircut doesn't count as "real". We had Claire (her babysitter) give her a trim today! It doesn't look much different, but it is neater. I will post a pic soon!

Also, Abby is now taking 2 to 3 steps at a time! It is so funny to watch her move around! Adorable!

Finally, I caught Abby and Parker kissing at Amy's birthday party on Sunday. I don't know what I am going to do with my kissing kids! Oh boy, not looking forward to teenage years :)! I will try to steal some pics from Amy, as she snapped a ton of pictures....we can't wait to use them as blackmail someday! Abby and Ryan both had a blast at the party! They love their friends Parker, Sophie, and Maddie!

Daddy and Kids!

Daddy and Ryan Make Breakfast!

It's amazing how the simpliest thing can turn into such a special moments! Ryan and Joe made breakfast for Abby and me Sunday morning. It was so sweet to watch them cooking together, and Ryan was so helpful! Here a few of the highlights! I couldn't help but snap a ton of pictures! It was adorable!

Harvestfest is Here!

We have decorated the front of our house for fall. RJ wouldn't pose for the picture!!
